If you have suffered an injury, you might qualify for ACC treatment support, which helps pay for your physiotherapy treatment.
You can fill out an ACC claim form directly with us (no need to visit a doctor first). If you already have an ACC number, just bring it with you.
ACC surcharge applies
Lymphoedema is a condition where the accumulation of excessive amounts of protein-rich fluid in the tissue results in swelling of one or more regions of the body. Lymphoedema may be caused by the damage or removal of lymphatic vessels or nodes (Secondary lymphoedema: cancer therapy, trauma,...) or because they were not formed correctly (Primary lymphoedema).
While Lymphoedema cannot be cured, it can be managed with appropriate diagnosis and intervention.

I was born and raised in the Italian part of Switzerland, and I graduated as Physiotherapist in 1999.
During my world travels the following year, I fell in love with New Zealand and I have since embraced the Kiwi life-style.
I enjoys playing sports, art & craft and I keep active by running after my busy family.
My extensive work experience includes public and private hospitals, retirement villages and sport clinics.
In 2017 I opened Helping Hands Physiotherapy, my 'boutique-style' physiotherapy clinic, aiming to offer a more personalised rehab experience.
Over the years I have developed a particular interest in musculo-skeletal dysfunctions, postural neck and headache problems and lymphoedema management (ALERT training in 2016 + 2026).
I regularly attend professional development courses and keep up to date with new treatment protocols and procedures. Manual mobilisation, targeted exercising, therapeutic massage, lymphatic drainage, acupuncture & dry needling, myofascial & scar tissue release are just some of the treatment options available.
Please contact Lisa directly by text message, phone or email with any questions or if you want to make an appointment.
